this is the first weekend since May 1st that we've been able to stay in town and don't have guests coming. i'm very excited for the chance to get some stuff done and to relax :) wednesday night we were sitting around and i asked rob what he wanted to do this weekend and he started naming things and continued naming more things. the list is quite long for a weekend, but he thinks he can get it all done. so here it is...
1. mow lawn (we have a full acre so it's not a 10 minute job!)
2. finish bookcase (sand, stain, poly)
3. set up bookcase and organize (rewire printer, receiver, weather station, modem, etc.)
4. do homework (he has a take home test for one of his classes)
5. watch the USA world cup game tomorrow
6. go see the movie A Game
7. change oil in tahoe
8. work on jeep for a few hours
i'll keep you posted on the status! this weekend i'm going to work on our yard some. two weeks ago i laid some limestone and created a flowerbed in the backyard, but now i need to get the grass out of there and plant some other flowers/bushes. the front needs some work, the bushes are growing over the sidewalk and even though they're blooming and starting to look beautiful, they look overgrown. here's a picture from last year when it was all blooming and perfectly manicured - i'd like to get it back to that stage :)
